Philippines Cosmetic Surgery
The Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (PAPRAS) is the only organization recognized by the Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS) to safely and competently practice such specialty.The Philippine Board of Plastic Surgery (PBPS) is the only organization that looks over fellowship and resident training and ultimately labels a graduate as a board certified plastic cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon after his completion of an oral and written examination given by the same board. Plastic surgeons do both cosmetic/ aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries. Common cosmetic procedures are liposuction/ lipoplasty, abdominoplasty/tummy tuck/tummytuck, breast augmentation/boob job, breast lift/ mastopexy, breast reduction, rhinoplasty/ nose lift/noselift/reshaping, buttocks augmentation, blepharoplasty/eyelid surgery, face lift/facelift/rhytidectomy/rhytidoplasty, forehead lift, temporal lift, neck lift, chin augmentation/ genioplasty, cheek/ malar augmentation, hair transplant, Botox, dermal fillers, and dermabrasion among many more other surgeries. Reconstructive procedures involve cleft lip, palate and other congenital defects, scar revision, surgery of physical malformation and malfunction as a result of trauma and burns, and even maxillofacial injuries.
